STATIC Shorts - Blue

These are the most dangerous pair of shorts I have owned. They are sexy, barely contain everything, yet comfortable for lounging around in the house. I got in more colors!

I like a lot of what AWRY's done with this latest short. Having a fabric with coloration that isn't solid across its entirety is a nice change, though both of my selections (blue and red) aren't quite as brilliant in daylight as in the professional product photos. I really like the lack of drawstring so the waistband doesn't press it into your skin when concealed and the miniaturized rubber logo on the right leg, compared to the larger version on the FREESTYLE short. AWRY also nailed the construction by sewing part of the pockets to the garment to stop the pocket linings from poking out.

While I love to see a 2" inseam short available, I feel that it does limit the practicality or the scenarios when you can safely (maybe I'm thinking of the wrong audience 😅) wear these. Other reviewers have mentioned their interest in wearing these in athletic settings, which I'd like, too, but even after sizing down to medium, the cuff of the legs is a bit too loose (maybe?) for some situations like deep lunges (pictured), splits, hand-to-toe-pose, etc. You can't really fault the design or quality of the garment, though: this is kind of inherent to 2" inseams in my experience with a couple other brands. I'd just temper your expectations about how you'll use these and test them.
